A local educator is under investigation. Prosecutors say she did not report sexual abuse at a South Bend school.
The allegations stem from the sexual abuse case involving former teacher's aide Schmeca White.
As you may remember, back in October, White was sentenced to 13-and-a-half years for sexually abusing special education students at Greene Intermediate School.
Monday we have learned that the former principal at Greene allegedly knew about that abuse and did not report it.
The Prosecutor's Office says Lela Warren was apparently told by another staff member about the abuse in January of 2005.
Warren faces a Class B misdemeanor for failing to report the incident.
Warren is now the Director of Student Services at Greene.
