A local group defines generous Monday by making a special donation to area children.
South Bend Kiwanis are giving every third grader in the South Bend School District a dictionary.
It is the second year for the program.
Due to donations within the group, Kiwanis expects to continue donating dictionaries for years to come.
“There were a couple of our members that were so enthusiastic about the reception of the program last year, that they actually made a contribution to the South Bend Community Foundation in order to fund the program in perpetuity,” explains Billy Vail, South Bend Kiwanis.
Kiwanis is dedicated to serving children and their communities worldwide.
