Fire in Edwardsburg Apartment Building

Breaking news out of Cass County, firefighters from two states are battling a fire that has traffic backed up on U.S. 12 in Edwardsburg.
The fire began shortly after 4:30 p.m. Friday at an apartment building at U.S. 12 and Lake Street in Edwardsburg.
Heavy smoke filled the air, pouring from the back of the building.
It also has traffic backed up through that busy area at rush hour.
Neighbors tell NewsCenter 16 the building has three apartments on the second story.
Thankfully they also tell us everyone who was inside the apartments when the fire broke out has managed to get out safely.
