The holidays are going to be a bit brighter for a Michiana family thanks to the United Way.
The United Way of St. Joseph County adopts a family every year.
They were busy wrapping Christmas gifts Friday at their office in South Bend.
The United Way collects money and gifts from around the office to create a basket full of holiday cheer and some essentials.
"And this woman is remarkable and to have the love that she has and to take in all these children and to give them a home, we thought the least we could do was to allow her to give them a merry Christmas," says Wanda Dudley, United Way.
The United Way has been adopting a local family every year for the past several years, hoping to give a deserving family a merry Christmas.
