The South Bend Blood Bank had a very special guest.
The jolly man himself, Santa Claus, donated platelets Wednesday morning.
This is nothing new to St. Nick.
He is a frequent guest at the South Bend Blood Bank, stopping by every couple weeks.
To date, he has given more than 210 pints.
Even with his very busy holiday schedule, Santa says he makes time to help others.
"Yeah, you got to mark it down and take time to come in and give. You can't get anything by giving and a lot of people even give if they're going to have operations and what have you, give their own blood,” explains Santa.
Santa says he’s been giving blood for years because he enjoys giving the gift of life to others.
