Former Elkhart Police Officer Sentenced

A former Elkhart police officer will spend the next several years behind bars.
Clifton Bruce Davidson was sentenced to 25 years in prison Tuesday.
The 42-year-old pleaded guilty in July to committing for 24 bank robberies between 2003 and 2005.
Police say Davidson hit banks in 11 states including: Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.
He was fired from the Elkhart police department in 1995.
Davidson later became a lawyer, but was disbarred by the Indiana Supreme Court.
