The teen that allegedly slashed his Valparaiso high school classmates with a machete and a tree saw goes to trail next month.
James Lewerke is scheduled to be tried beginning on January 8th.
Lewerke is charged with attacking seven fellow students back in November of 2004.
All the students survived but continue to suffer from physical scars and psychological trauma.
The trial has been delayed because Lewerke was ordered to undergo two psychological evaluations since the slashings.
Lewerke's defense lawyers say he was insane at the time of the attacks.
The teen has lived with relatives in Iowa since 2005.
