A teenager will head to trial next month, charged with attacking his Valparaiso High School classmates with a machete.
James Lewerke is scheduled to stand trial on January eighth.
Lewerke is charged with attacking seven fellow students with a machete and a tree saw in his Spanish class back in November of 2004.
The students survived but continue to suffer from physical scars and psychological trauma.
The trial has been delayed because Lewerke was ordered to undergo two psychological evaluations since the slashings.
Lewerke's defense lawyers say he was insane at the time of the attacks.
The teen has lived with relatives in Iowa since 2005.
