While the job market is soft in the South Bend area, there is good news nationwide for recent college graduates.
A new survey says employers around the country plan to hire more workers straight out of college this year.
The National Association of Colleges and Employers says employers plan to hire 17 percent more grads this year than they did last school year.
The numbers are slightly lower here in the Midwest where the increase will be 10 percent.
If the numbers hold true it would make it the best hiring season on campus since 2001, when a recession forced hiring cuts.
