Thousands of people braved the Michiana cold to help those in need this holiday season.
Saturday morning, Granger Community Church teamed-up with Feed the Children to host its annual food drop.
More than 2000 volunteers were on hand to help pack six semi-truckloads of food.
Volunteers then spent the day delivering more than 150,000 pounds of food to families in St. Joseph, Elkhart and Berrien counties.
"I think one of the great things God does for us, is he helps us to get our eyes off of ourselves and onto others. And when we realize other people have needs, and that we can actually help needy people, it's motivating; people want to make a difference with their lives," explains founding Pastor Mark Beeson, Granger Community Church.
The food drop was part of the church's 20 Days of Giving.
For 20 days this month, the church will help someone in the Michiana community.
