Plymouth Pain Shortlived?

The city of Plymouth appears poised to quickly bounce back from its most recent plant closing.

On November 9th, Ready Pac closed its salad processing plant in Plymouth, leaving 200 people without jobs.

On Monday, the city is prepared to name a European based firm
that is moving to buy the plant.

That buyer is planning to start production in the third quarter of 2007, according to Doug Anspach, with the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce: “They plan to employ in excess of 150-people with a payroll exceeding 7.5 million dollars. This is a huge deal in terms of new investment. The company will be investing 36.5 million dollars in the Plymouth area.”
