The Hope Rescue Mission has taken in many men during the past 50 years.
This week, it is on a mission to fix-up their bedroom.
Renovations on the men's dorm will begin Thursday.
The barracks-style bunks can sleep 14 men every night.
The Rescue Mission staff hopes that changes in the dorm will spark changes in the men.
“When your environment is comfortable and relaxing, you're able to focus on your recovery, other than worrying about where you're sleeping,” explains Director of Operations Karl Nichols.
Home Depot donated most of the materials for the project.
Renovations should be completed by the weekend.
When the dorm is finished, work will begin on floors.
If you would like to help with the project, you can contact the Hope Rescue Mission Director of Operations at 288-4842.
