Christmas Trees Reflect Ethnic Heritage

With Christmas only a couple weeks away, it is not too late to set up your tree, and to get some ideas.

The Center for History in South Bend's International Trees Exhibit has 10 trees decorated from countries all around the world.

Volunteers can come in and lend a hand to spruce up the tree dedicated to their cultural and ethnic background.

Not only are the trees beautiful, but they are also educational and the museum is welcoming your input. “If there is someone who comes and visits and they notice they're culture isn't represented, then they give us a call and we plan it immediately to have their culture here next year cause that's what it's all about,” says Marketing Director, Marilyn Thompson.

Do not worry if you've seen the displays before.

Marilyn Thompson says the trees never fail to change from year to year.

You can see them now through Christmas at the Center for History.
