Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack officially kicked off his 2008 Presidential run Thursday.
The two-term Democratic Governor launched his run in his wife's hometown of Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
He is the first Democrat to formally announce a Presidential run.
Many more, including Indiana’s Junior Senator Evan Bayh are seriously considering running.
Vilsack is considered a long shot for the Democratic nomination, which is one reason he wanted to get his name out early.
