A man from the UP of Michigan is helping Governor Granholm get into the Christmas spirit.
An ornament was designed for the Governor and is made from Birdseye Maple, a rare dotted wood.
Bruce Pennala was commissioned in early October to produce the ornaments.
It is shaped like a snowflake and features the Michigan state tree surrounded by stars and trees.
The Governor ordered 300 ornaments that will be paired with a signature ribbon.
They will be given to members of her staff and others across the state.
