Michigan Lawmakers Want Definitive Identification Process

Michigan lawmakers hope to prevent a similar mix-up with a new bill passed by the house.

The measure would create new standards for authorities dealing with a deadly accident.

The bill requires county medical examiners be told when an accident happens involving two people that look alike.

The medical examiner would be required to make definitive identification through fingerprints, dental records, or DNA.
