An Elkhart County man accused of sexual misconduct is no longer a teacher.
Mel Trowbridge was a fifth grade teacher at Waterford Elementary School in Goshen.
According to our reporting partners at The Truth, the Goshen Community School Board officially ended Trowbridge's contract Monday night.
Trowbridge was originally suspended with pay after he was accused of sexual misconduct with two former students.
He pleaded not guilty to two sets of charges.
Back in October, administrators warned Trowbridge they intended to fire him.
He did not request a hearing or a reason for being fired
Meantime, Trowbridge is scheduled to appear in court on December 7th.
