US Capitol Welcomes Christmas Tree

The White House was not the only DC landmark to get a tall Christmas tree delivered today.

A sixty-foot tree arrived at the US Capitol.

The Pacific Silver Fir traveled from the Olympic National Forest in Washington State to its new home today.

More than 3,000 hand-made ornaments from children across Washington state will decorate the tree, in addition to approximately 10,000 lights.

The tree will be lit on Wednesday, December 6th, and will be on display every night through New Year's Day.
