Christmas is fast approaching and people everywhere are getting into the holiday spirit, including at the White House.
Today was the arrival of the White House's official Christmas tree.
The Douglas fir stands at eighteen and a half feet tall, and will be set up and decorated in the white house's blue room.
The tree arrived to the White House in a horse drawn wagon and was greeted by First Lady Laura Bush who said, "We're so excited to once again start all the decorations. The decorators are here from all around the country to decorate the white house, and I think we'll reveal the decorations to all of you this Thursday."
The big tree was grown in Pennsylvania.
