Late Sunday night, police in Elkhart are investigating a deadly shooting.
The shooting happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Portage Lane.
When police arrived on the scene, they discovered 27- year-old Len Carruthers on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to the hospital and died a short time later.
The Elkhart police department homicide unit has interviewed several people, but so far no arrests have been made.
