Black Friday Reminds Some Shoppers of Holiday Spirit

Shoppers were out in full force on the Southside of Elkhart Friday.

Hundreds of people came out to Concord Mall hoping to take part in the Black Friday shopping sprees.

Some shoppers hoped to score a great deal, while others simply went to get a start on their Christmas shopping.

Still, some folks hoped the commercial craze of the holidays did not overshadow something even more important, the family.

“Christmas time is always fun to hang out with your family, to make this a special time. Christmas gets a little bit crazy, and you kind of forget what the season is all about and I think this is a time to really focus in on Jesus and focus in on family and focus in on all the blessings of the season,” explains Terry Bley of Nappanee.

Parts of the mall opened up for the early birds at 5AM.
