Not everyone has the holiday off!
At least 66 firefighters worked on Thanksgiving Day for South Bend's Fire Department.
But just because they're working on Thanksgiving doesn't mean they can’t enjoy some turkey!
At South Bend’s Central Fire Station they cooked a 35 pound turkey.
“Some of the best meals you will ever eat will come out of the firehouse,” said Chief Robert Sanders from South Bend’s Fire Department.
Firefighters say if they can't be at home they'd rather be at the station.
“I know I am going to get a good meal, good company, just hope its a nice quiet day for everybody is South Bend,” said Sanders.
But since it is a workday if an alarm goes off someone's got to go!
At South Bend Fire Department they rotate the holiday shifts.
Anyone working on Thanksgiving was assigned randomly.
