Moving across the state line, Governor Daniels is already predicting a victory for his plan to boost cigarette taxes.
Daniels announced the plan last week which would use the extra funds to help provide health coverage for low income residents.
He is asking for a 25 cent increase, but would rely on the legislature to set the actual amount.
The Governor says the money would not only help with health coverage, but also reduce smoking rates in Indiana.
Daniels predicts he will have support from legislators on both sides of the general assembly.
