Firefighters have a warning for those planning to deep-fry their turkey this Thanksgiving: if you put a frozen turkey into a vat of hot oil, the reaction could set off a dangerous fireball.
If you are deep-frying, make sure to thaw your turkey properly and do not use more oil than what you need.
According to the National Fire Prevention Association, there were more than 1000 reported fires in the U.S. on Thanksgiving in 2004.
