It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown South Bend.
City workers began putting up holiday messages in front of the Morris Performing Arts Center Monday.
Signs were painted by area students including a batch from kids at Greene Elementary School.
The tradition started about a decade ago.
Steve Clauson, a carpenter for the S.B. Parks & Recreations said, "We started with Clay High School and then we've just went from school to school. I would say the kids really enjoy it because their parents can drive by and see what they've done."
The city Christmas tree is also up. The lights will be turned on in a big ceremony on December 1st.
