Monday, the community remembered the lives of four Elkhart children.
A visitation is underway for the children who were found dead last week.
Their mother faces charges in their deaths.
Angelica Alvarez remains in the hospital. She was arrested last week in the deaths of Jennifer and Gonzalo Lopez and Daniel and Jessica Valdez.
Their bodies were found in the basement of their Elkhart home on Tuesday.
Police say the children were suffocated.
Alvarez was found unconscious in the home and is still being treated.
Prosecutors have until Wednesday to formally charge her.
Monday’s visitation for the children takes place until 8PM at the Osceola Grace Brethren Church.
A funeral for the children will be held Tuesday at 11AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Elkhart.
