Coveleski Stadium was certainly hopping Sunday afternoon before the Silver Hawks game.
Not only were cancer survivors enjoying a picnic, but plenty of kids turned out for the Family Fun Fest.
The Principal Financial Group held the free event outside the Cove. The Fun Fest featured a minor league baseball museum, batting and pitching cages, giant slides, bounce houses, and a lot more.
It was part of a national tour making stops at minor league ballparks across the country.
"This is completely free and open to the public," Amy Hill explained. "It's a great way to get people coming out and celebrating baseball."
Young fans also had the chance to get their picture on a baseball card or on the cover of Sports Illustrated for Kids, and it was all free.
After the Fun Fest, the Silver Hawks took the field against the Clinton LumberKings.
The Hawks went down six runs early in the game and couldn't make up the different. Clinton cruised to the 10-2 win.
