Construction crews are making progress on a huge farmer's market in Elkhart County.
We first told you back in February that the "Midwest Farmer's Market" is going up just south of the U.S. 20 bypass.
The building is now framed, as crews continue to works hard on the project.
The farmer's market is 51-thousand square feet and American Country Side officials tell us that 70-percent of the building is already leased out.
Meat vendors, fruit and veggie growers and crafts will all be sold at the market.
Whirlpool Corporation is also planning to put in five kitchens in the building.
Art Moser is the President of Midwest Farmer’s Market. Moser says the market is scheduled to open on Memorial Day of 2007.
"This building is one of the largest hand-pegged timber barns in the nation. So, it's quite a draw just to see this building. So we feel that we're gonna have a farther out draw because of that."
Moser also says the farmer's market will be a great place for young people to get started in the business without having a lot of overhead expenses.
