Decision 2006 is over, and the St. Joseph County Clerks Office says voter turnout was impressive for a midterm election.
Most of the final numbers from the November 7th election are in.
Officials tell us 46% of registered voters showed up to the polls.
This year, the clerk's office received nearly 10,000 absentee and early voting ballots.
Now, they are just waiting on more than 70 provisional ballots.
Those voters have until noon Friday to validate their vote with the County Clerks office. St. Joseph County Circuit Court Clerk, Rita Glenn says, "A provisional ballot is issued in case a person doesn't have their picture id and needs to come back to make sure that their vote is cast, or if they believe they are in the right polling place and their name does not appear in the polling book itself."
With the November elections behind them, the County Clerks Office is now focusing on January's city elections.
