Police need your help tonight after a deadly hit and run accident in South Bend.
It happened just before eight o'clock last night in the 34-hundred block of Edison near Manchester.
Police tell us a van hit a man who was crossing the road, but did not stop after the accident.
The victim 50-year old William Bennett, Jr. was treated at an area hospital, where he later died.
Police say the suspect was driving a white General Motors work-type van with possibly a ladder on top.
The van should have front end damage from the accident, a missing turn signal and white paint missing.
