A Notre Dame student is dead following a crash on the Indiana Toll Road.
Indiana State Police tell us Caitlin Brann, 22, of Orland Park, IL was traveling in the westbound lanes of the Toll Road near the Michigan City exit around 2:15AM. Her vehicle left the roadway, rolled over, went airborne and hit a semi in the eastbound lanes. The vehicle landed on its roof.
Brann was pronounced dead at the scene, but the driver of the semi was uninjured.
One eastbound lane and both westbound lanes were blocked off for around four hours Friday morning.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
Police say Brann was a senior at Notre Dame.
