What do art, wine, and food have in common?

Many people found out Thursday evening in South Bend, as the South Bend Regional Museum of Art hosted a Downtown Sampling."

Attendees’ sampled great food and fine wine, all while browsing over the museum's collection of art work.

Organizers say they want to show people that South Bend has some of the best dining and cultural amenities in Michiana.

Susan Visser of the South Bend Regional Museum of Art said Thursday, "This has been a very important event for us because it not only is great in terms of the income it provides to support our exhibitions and education programs, but it also has been a good awareness raiser for the museum and really shows people that museums can be a fun place!"

All the food and wine was donated by South Bend restaurants.

Proceeds from the event go towards arts education and exhibitions at the Museum of Art.
