Planned power outage in St. Joe, MI today

Residents in St. Joseph, Michigan shouldn’t panic if their power goes out this morning, it’s all part of a planned power outage.

According to our news gathering partners at WSJM, Indiana Michigan Power has planned an outage for over 160 homes in the city from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. today.

The homes that should be affected are located on the north portion of the city, which includes all of Upton and Ridgeway, from Marina Drive to North Upton Drive.

The outage is scheduled as part of an upgrade to the residents’ electric service.

If any resident outside of that area experiences an outage, officials say they should call Indiana Michigan Power immediately.
