The Seal family home is overflowing with family and friends all trying to find comfort after the loss of their Marine, Corporal Aaron Seal.

His family describes him as a fun-loving guy, one who cared deeply about those around him.

His girlfriend Krystal Snyder is trying to make sense of the loss. “He was the most unselfish man I ever knew,” she said. “He was the greatest guy, had a huge heart, and if you ever needed anything, you could always call on Aaron.”

At South Bend's Company B Headquarters, there is a somber mood among fellow Marines.

Sentiments are similar at Seal's Alma Mater.

He was a 2001 grad at Elkhart's Memorial High School.

Sister Valerie said her little brother was a guy who could make you smile when you needed it most. “He could make any matter funny, anything that was going on, he could make you laugh,” she explained. “He's such a terrific person that we feel like everybody should know him. He's just awesome.”

“The last thing he said to me was I love you, and I'll see you soon,” Seal’s girlfriend Krystal said.
