An inmate who escaped from the Indiana State Prison in Michigan City is still at large.
A spokesperson at the prison says Steven Grove, 26, apparently walked away from his work last Thursday.
He was serving time for stolen property and attempted battery in the prison's minimum security unit.
According to our news partners at the News Dispatch, two 11-year-old Michigan City boys have been the last to see the escaped prisoner.
Two fifth grade boys from Knapp Elementary School saw a man, fitting Grove's description, walk out of a wooded area Friday. When the man saw the boys, he turned around and took off.
If you have seen Grove or have any information on where he is, you’re asked to call 911.
