Jeff Coffman was finishing up at work, warming up his car, when he noticed another one stalled up the street.

"I'm just sitting there watching them, I'm like, 'they need to get off that intersection, that's not a good intersection' and then that happened," explains Coffman.

Police say a 15 year old boy was pushing a stalled car, he was riding in, out of the way when an SUV came up on him.

"They were help pushing the car, because it broke down, and they were pushing towards Advance Auto Parts and a lady I know was on her cell phone, and she hit him, and he got stuck between both cars," says witness Caleb Caleys

Witnesses say another man, who was also pushing the car, narrowly escaped.

"He just barely made it, had to be inches…just inches," says a still bewildered Coffman.

But the teen did not make it, and had to be pulled out from underneath the SUV.

"I know they had to jack the car up and get him out from under it," explains Caleys.

As one of the busiest intersections in the city, this isn't the first accident.

And it certainly is a scary place for a car to stall.

"She had to not being paying attention at all. I mean, lights were on the car -- I could see the car fine -- even though intersection was not fully lighted," adds Coffman.

The name of the teen has not been released yet -- he was pronounced dead at the hospital Friday night.

The driver of the SUV was treated and released.

Police say drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the accident.
