A proposal to start full day kindergarten remains a top priority in the Hoosier state.
Governor Daniels presented three different financial scenarios for full day kindergarten.
They include one that would make it available statewide for the 2007-2008 school year.
Two others would phase it in over five years.
The estimated cost for full day kindergarten would be about $166 million for the first year.
The cost would also grow each year after that, because of projected increases in kindergarten enrollment.
