NHTSA Will Require Crash Test Stickers on Cars by 2007

Posted: Fri 5:07 PM, Sep 22, 2006

Car buyers will have more information to help them decide on a new ride.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is requiring car manufacturers to include government crash test data right on the window sticker by 2007.

The NHTSA conducts vehicle crash tests and rates cars on their ability to withstand a crash and its likelihood of rolling over.

The rules don't require the information for pickup trucks, but Ford and GM say they'll include it on their pickups anyway.
