Intel Corporation Cuts Jobs Out of its Bottom Line

The world's largest computer chip maker is cutting ten-percent of its work force.

Tuesday, the Intel Corporation announced it will eliminate 10,500 jobs in an attempt to combat sinking profits.

Initial job cuts will come from the company's management, marketing, and information technology departments.

Cuts are also expected to expand to manufacturing and design divisions early next year.

Company officials anticipate the cuts will save three-billion dollars a year by 2008.
