There were some pretty tense moments for Irish fans at the Joyce Center on Saturday as the Irish had to rally for the 45th straight win at home.

The victory against Seton Hall was also the school's 20th straight Big East win at home, which ties the conference record.

But the nine-point win produced very little euphoria, as eight of Notre Dame's next nine opponents are ranked in the top 25.

"I told them after the game, I said, 'We could not sweep a Saturday/Monday because we didn't win a Saturday. Now you have a chance to sweep a Saturday/Monday," coach Mike Brey explained. "Let's see if we can sweep a Saturday/Monday. Then we need to get some rest again, like we did on Tuesday and Wednesday of this past week."

Kyle McAlarney, who added 18 points against Seton Hall, says the team's maturity is going to give them the advantage going into this tough part of the season.

"You gotta flush the game so quickly to get ready for the next team. And this is the Big East, so you're always going up against somebody good. But, at the same time, for us I think it's an advantage for us over other people because we're older and more mature than other teams, and we know how to dig down and focus when we get ready for these teams," McAlarney elaborated.

The Irish face off against Louisville on the road Monday night.
