After a slew of bad news surrounding AM General last year, the company got another dose of good news to ring in 2009.

After a slew of bad news surrounding AM General last year, the company got another dose of good news to ring in 2009.

The company was awarded an add-on to its existing contract with the Department of Defense.

The contract will pay the company 252 million dollars to build almost 1700 EA high-mobility multi-purpose wheeled vehicles by the end of the year.

The work will be performed at the Mishawaka plant.

Less than a month ago, AM General also received an additional 17 million dollars on the same contract.
