Saturday night will be the biggest game of the Charlie Weis era.
With 14 losses in the last two seasons, Weis' job could be on the line if his Irish can't pull off the momumental upset over arch-rival USC in Los Angeles.
Kickoff is at 8pm Saturday night.
Weis is 0-3 against the Trojans in his career.
Meanwhile, the game will be a homecoming for quarterback Jimmy Clausen, who grew up in Southern California and knows more than half the USC players.
His decision for college also came down between Notre Dame and USC and he has a unique take on the rivalry.
"To be honest, they really don't like Notre Dame," Clausen said. "They just think a little Catholic school in Indiana. No one knows where it is, where is South Bend, Indiana. To be honest, they really don't like Notre Dame and don't really respect Notre Dame."
"I think Notre Dame respects USC like they should any team. But it's a great rivalry. I used to go to the games when Carson Palmer was there and when I was a young kid. So it's a lot of fun to watch those games."
