After being reported missing on Thursday (June 28, 2006), an Owen man is back home with his family.
The Clark County Sheriff's Department is saying Vernon Buchanan was found Friday (June 29, 2006) night in Woodstock, Illinois.
Buchanan, who's 74, was last seen in Lincoln County around 3 a.m. Thursday. Authorities are saying he just drove until he ran out of gas in Illinois.
A gas station worker got his name and for some reason called authorities, who ran his plates and figured out it was Buchanan.
A family member went to pick him up.
