A life that had barely started was taken in an instant. Police say two year-old Keahn Hill was the center of a deadly domestic dispute.

It started when his father, 40 year-old Lawrence Hill showed up at the toddler's mother's Porter County home.

A neighbor says, “She was running down the hall screaming.”

Twenty-one year-old Sonya Hill was screaming for neighbors to call 911. Police say Lawrence Hill stabbed her roommate, 29 year-old Dennis Williams to death. Hill barged through the sliding glass patio doors.

He held a knife to Sonya's throat while leading her out of the apartment. That's when Williams tried to intervene and ended up losing his life.

At this point, police say Hill wasn't finished.

Shortly after, Sonya noticed Hill had taken their son out of his bedroom when he fled the murder scene.

An officer from Beverly Shores noticed Hill's vehicle. Police set up roadblocks and Hill drove through them, eventually slamming into a parked police car, killing himself and his two year-old son.

I feel sorry for the mother she has lost 2 people that she loved... her boyfriend/friend and her little boy.. May the both rest in peace together!!

Seriously....every day it's a child killed or animal abuse and neglect. What a disposable society we have become as a whole. The scary thing is it is only going to get worse until people begin to think and act differently, but I blame today's society and especially media as a whole. May this child rest in peace.

What the heck has this world come too? This is unbelievable to think this could happen. This makes me sick to my stomach to see such a ignorant man take his son's life. My heart and thoughts are with the family. I hope the father is in eternal hell forever!

How sad that a man can take the life of his own child or any other person. May god bless this little boy and his family that are left behind.

How dumb can the police get? They know a child's in harm's way yet they don't care one iota. Typical. I bet it was high fives all the way around with those maniacs later.

While the 'father' is a murderer and caused this horrible incident I also wonder about the way the police handled the situation They set up a road block causing the crash. Did they really think that this murderer complied with the child safety laws and had the child strapped into a car seat? The 'father' should have stopped to avoid the collision but he already proved that he has no regard for human life. In my opinion the police handled the incident poorly at best.

My heart goes out to the families.

To Linda and Saddened. What happened to these people is a terrible, terrible trajedy and I can understand your anger. I am assuming from your posts that you both profess to be christians. Have you considered what non-christians might think when reading your comments? You hope he "rots in hell"? Really?? Is this what christians wish upon other people? When Jesus was on the cross is this what he wished for the two thieves hanging beside him. Are your sins any better or worse than any one elses? I for one am glad that God will be deciding my fate and not either one of you.

we all need to put GOD back in our lives, schools, work, and community!!!!! We need to be reminded on a regular basis why we are here and what we are suppose to do. if not, this country of ours - every neighborhood included- will just keep going downhill. if no one is holding anyone accountable for their actions they will continue to disrecept life in general, causing harm and pain. wake up people - we need GOD. being truthful to ourselves and bringing up our children in the right environment is so important these days. as you can see, the world is falling apart in just about every aspect - financially, morally, spiritually, there is more scum out there than good people.

Like i said before, it's become a daily thing now that a child is killed usually by a parent or parents. I really don't know what's happening to people. How anyone could do such a thing to a child, I will never understand. They have to be nuts. That doesn't mean though that they shouldn't be punished. I too, hope they rot in hell.

I am so saddened that this scum chose to take the life of his son with his after taking the life of another man. I hope this trash suffers in Hell for eternity! God bless all involved including the police for doing what they had to do! God bless the mother and Keahn!
