South Bend, Ind. 31 people were cited for underage drinking at a party in a South Bend town home over the weekend, while two other underage drinkers avoided a ticket, after seeking medical help for a severely drunk friend.
The busted party was at Irish Crossings. Excise Police say two minors walked up to them carrying a 22-year-old woman who was very drunk.
The two admitted they'd been drinking too, but wanted to get the woman medical help. She was taken to the hospital; while the two weren't cited because of the state's new "lifeline law" which gives immunity to people helping someone get medical assistance.
Police say the people who were cited didn't play a role in getting the woman help.
