A record number of people are registering to vote in Indiana and along with that come a number of concerns too.

Newscenter 16 talked with Secretary of State Todd Rokita.

He was in South Bend for a black tie fundraiser to benefit I.U.’s medical school at Notre Dame.

Rokita says his office is examining all registrations brought in by ACORN at local voter registration offices.

Also all fraudulent activity will be investigated.

“A lot of the ACORN registrations are good registrations and we don't want interfere... but if we are notified by county if they found irregularities... I will move to make copies… secure it... and review original evidence,” says Rokita.

Activists are claiming people registered to vote could be accidentally taken off of lists but Rokita says that will not happen.

If that were to happen they have provisional ballots for that reason.

Voter fraud never perpetrated by republicans? Are you serious? In Ohio, that country where over 100% of the people voted. They overwhelmingly voted for Republicans. Republicans have engaged in huge purges of voter roles. They don't want people to vote unless you're rich and white. Every Diebold machine that has had voting issues has been found to be over voting for republicans. Diebold donates to republicans almost exclusively. And I'd like to point out, voter registration fraud isn't the same as voting fraud. So Mickey Mouse registers to vote. Think he'll be able to vote when he shows up at the polls?

To Anonymous at 2:03 it is probably because Obama really isn't ahead any more than he really won over Clinton. He just filled the ballot with phony votes. It is kind of like his speeches, all empty and full of acquisitions against his opponents with no real information about his abilities.

How come voter fraud is never perpetrated by Republicans??? No wonder Democrats oppose voter ID laws, under the guise of "disenfranchising the poor and the elderly". Yeah, more like disenfranchising the dead and non-existant.....

ACORN was deeply involved in shady activities in that state and the California Republican Party sued them after they invaded its offices and defaced and destroyed property. ACORN is been implicated in voter fraud schemes in at least 12 states. And who served as an organizer and performed legal work for them? Barack Obama. His association with this law-breaking group should alone disqualify him from being a candidate for president. ACORN is also a socialist group that rants and raves about “capitalism” and “free enterprise,” and even opposes all efforts to secure our borders. It was founded by Saul Alinsky, a well known Marxist organizer who detested everything about America but also happens to be one of Obama’s heroes. Even liberal writers have attacked ACORN’s wacky agenda, but the scary thing is, Obama’s agenda reflects ACORN’s agenda. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/09/27/politics/politico/thecrypt/main4483168.shtml http://hotair.com/archives/2008/09/26/the-democratic-acorn-ba

Barak Obama’s ACORN vote creation community organizing has a track record. In OHIO there were counties who had more than 100% of their population voting. Washington State overturned a victory for the Governor. If you Google it you will be overrun with information about ACORN voter fraud. This is a criminal organization bent on overturning the will of the people. If it were not for the mis-information, lack of important coverage by the media or the poor choice on the Republican side for President, there would be no contest. Funny that ACORN is worried that fraudulent vote may not count.

ACORN needs to be taken down and dismantled. GOTV drives makes fraud registrations more possible and bogs down the legitimate registrations. ACORN wastes government money in more ways than one can think. I think we as a society should rise up against socialist programs and demand action. That starts with you mr obama. Call for a federal investigation into ACORN and demand that it be dissolved!

The South Bend School Corporation does it again. They let ACORN into our schools to try to recruit those to vote. That is not an issue but considering they are known frauds I would think that they would stop the individuals from entering the school. Why not allow the KKK to recruit next in the South Bend School Corporation. It isn't an accident why this is the worst school corporation in the STATE!!!

Why on earth would anyone have a problem with checking the identification of anyone wanting to vote in the elections? We have to prove who we are and where we live when getting a drivers license, a library card or utility services, surely we can have some security when it comes to safeguarding our most valuable civic duty. Why would you not want the rolls expunged of those who have moved, died or become ineligible for whatever reason? Don't all those extra names make voter fraud easier?

Those people from ACORN are nuts.
