O.J. Simpson has been found guilty on all charges in the gunpoint robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas casino hotel room more than a year ago.

The 61-year-old former football faces up to life in prison.

A somber Simpson released a heavy sigh as the charges were read Friday in Clark County District Court. He was immediately taken into custody.

The verdict comes 13 years to the day after Simpson was acquitted of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, in Los Angeles.

Co-defendant Clarence "C.J." Stewart also was found guilty on all charges and taken into custody.

The men were tried on 12 criminal charges.

To Ed...you can't be serious.

After reading most of the comments made here, People don't seem to want to let the past be the past. I like O J Simpson. He was a great ball player and a good person. It's sad people hate him. For what he was found "Not Guilty Of" ? Looks to me everyone was after him and he couldn't even go on with his life the way he could have. O J, you DO have a friend and my name is Ed.

Better yet.. what adult male actually says the word "giggle"?

Posted by: Don Location: indiana on Oct 13, 2008 at 09:07 PM
to those who say that he did not kill, you might want to listen to his former sports agent who has went on record stating that he destroyed evidence that showed O.J. killed nicole simpson and ron goldman, and that O.J. confessed his crime to him. the man is quilty on both acts and should spend the rest of his life in prison.

This is an attrocity just another example of WHITY keeping a brother down. Just because he is guilty doesn't mean that OJ should be held responsible for it...if it had been a black jury everything would have been fine...but NO he had an all white jury...just keeping us brothers in our place

Dear OJ- You wanted to go to jail-It's all about choices. You made yours. Have a nice time. Remember soap on a rope.

Posted by: Bruce Location: Granger on Oct 7, 2008 at 09:05 AM
A man that continued to make extrememly poor choices since his murder acquital. He should have left the country years ago, but he seemingly loved the spotlight.

Posted by: Unbelievable on Oct 7, 2008 at 03:55 AM
The white man has been getting away with murder for years. As a matter of fact that is what Bush and the government is doing right now. We get stuck on certain names and faces the media sticks in our faces and we have so much more important things to worry about than if oj did it. How corrupt this world is i believe if you weren't there when it happen i could be reasonable doubt.

Where is your smirk now OJ??!!

Posted by: Anonymous Location: MARSHALL COUNTY on Oct 6, 2008 at 03:48 PM
I hope he ROTS in jail!

Posted by: Mary Location: Mishawaka on Oct 6, 2008 at 03:03 PM
To White Women: Who wrote "she watched the trial very close and it was clear he didnt do it". Are you that stupid? This man may have gotten off but he still has to pay his dues for the murders when he dies or sooner. The law of cause & effect are strict & he will pay his dues.

I feel sorry for the children whose mom or dad lost their lives during a military conflict or through some tragic accident, but I sure as hell don't feel sorry for the kids of this murderer. They are sitting on a lot of money, so why feel sorry for them. I wonder what will happen to his 'protected' retirement money.

What goes around comes around he was a waste of space!

Posted by: DB Location: NE Indiana on Oct 6, 2008 at 11:53 AM
Black, white, red or purple, the man got away with 2 murders and now he must pay...even if it's for a different crime and even if he isn't 100% guilty. It has nothing to do with race. I am still waiting for the WHITE California cop to be found guilty of murdering his wife and hiding her body. One day he will pay as well so all you people crying "Racists" can just zip it. Justice is justice, regardless of ones' color. Deal with it!

Posted by: queeny on Oct 6, 2008 at 11:49 AM
he finally gets what he deserves. who cares about him being a father...anyone can be a father. He cannot be a positive influence in the childrens lives anyways. He is an arrogant chump who thought he was untouchable....he'll get touched in PRISON.

white guy is right! This was an eleborate setup by Lynn Swan and Roger Staubach. Just ask Joe Namath.

Posted by: SuA Location: Michigan on Oct 6, 2008 at 09:53 AM
I did not follow OJ's latest escapade as closely as I did when his wife was murdered, so I don't have an opinion of whether he was really guilty of this crime or not. OJ thinks he is untouchable because he got acquitted of his wife's murder. I think God works in mysterious ways, and even though he might not have been guilty of this crime, he will now have to pay for his wife's murder via this conviction. So sad, too bad!

Posted by: Linda Location: Granger on Oct 6, 2008 at 06:44 AM
Well, OJ's Karma finally caught up with him. He may have been acquitted 13 years ago for killing his X-wife and Ron Goldman but now he'll be punished anyway. He even admitted to the killings after it was over so now maybe he'll get what he deserves. He doesn't have the right to still be in the Football Hall of Fame either. What goes around comes around.

I bet Jesse Jackson and the boys March in Vegas! Quit holding the man back!

Posted by: Shelby on Oct 5, 2008 at 05:55 PM
Like most of America, I was stunned that OJ was found not guilty for killing his wife and her friend. He had a good lawyer back then and but that lawyer died. I do feel that OJ was set up for this football memorabilia crime simply because what are the odds of having a tape recorder running just when OJ bursts through the doors. But if that is what it takes to get him behind bars, then I am ok with that. I do feel sorry for his children. He is all they have left.

Posted by: anon Location: mish on Oct 5, 2008 at 11:09 AM
finally, that murderer is going to pay!

15 years in solitary has to feel like cripe. Score another one for the Juice. Go OJ!

Posted by: Tim Location: South Bend on Oct 5, 2008 at 08:50 AM
I'll even admit I giggled by hind off on this one. Race card? We can't help it this scofflaw finally got busted. It is not our fault there wasn't a black juror around to save him this time around. I wonder how his family will feel after he dies in prison.

Posted by: tricia Location: south bend on Oct 5, 2008 at 01:42 AM
I would have to say Karma is a wonderful thing!!! It always catches up to you no matter what you do. It doesn't matter how long ago you did something wrong and got away it always has a way of catching up with you. I hope he spends the rest of his natural life in prison. I'm sure the Goldman and Brown families are breathing easier knowing that he's going to prison.

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 4, 2008 at 11:53 PM
Hmmm Cant get his way out of this one

Posted by: siege on Oct 4, 2008 at 09:22 PM
I remember after he was acquitted of murder and the jurors got a chance to hear statements that were not allowed as testimony, most of them said if they had heard the whole story, they would have convicted him. Also, the acquittal was largely because of racist Det. Mark Furman's perjury and the jury wanted to punish him. I believe that because he was acquitted, OJ truly believed he was invincible.

Posted by: White women Location: south Bend on Oct 4, 2008 at 06:53 PM
You all sound so ridiculous, did you watch his trail in California? I bet not. I watched very closely everyday and there was no doubt he didn't do it. How ironic that they would try him around the same time and come to a verdict on the anniversary of his previous verdict. This was planned out by those who were out to get him. His children are the ones who will suffer again because they are without their father.

I guess the glove fit this time. I hope he doesn't get a country club prison though. What can you expect from USC athletes anyways?

if the glove does not fit, you must aquit

Posted by: kc9ixv Location: the late great u.s.a. on Oct 4, 2008 at 01:21 PM
what an idiot he is. i remember a year and a half ago a radio station in warsaw said that he could be tried again for the murders but anyone with a brain knows there is a double jeopardy law and you cant be tried twice for the same crime and i called to tell them but they didnt know of the double jeopardy deal and i couldnt believe it. simpson has no brain. once you get off on something serious like murder i would think that would make you walk the narrow line but not dumb simpson. hes used to being around alot of naked guys in the shower but this time he better not drop the soap or they will show him where the wild goose goes. if simpson likes pickle parks then he will feel like he is in paradise.

Some people just don't know how to shup up. O.J. Simpson was the very standard in reverse discrimination, in the past many white men were aquitted regarding crimes against the black community as a whole. So after Simpson because of celebrity and financial security was able to possibly get away with a crime(Remember the lady holding the scales of Justice is blind) alas because he could not just disappear from the public eye was irritating to many, and to top it off when he attempted to make money re: a book where he documents a scenario where he actually is guilty, I can only say oe thing, goodbye O.J. we'll miss you.

this is wrong! he was set-up

It's amazing to me that somewhere we lost sight of the criminal justice institution. Each comment below - sounds like you found him guilty from your own views of his past indictment. And chances are thats how the jury found this verdict. I'm not saying he's guilty or innocent. I'm saying that I didn't sit in that wooden box with those jurors to hear the case so I'll be damned if I sit back and judge. That's societies problem now. Everyone is ready to be in everyone elses business but their own. There is no such thing as an unbiased jury anymore. Our own Supreme Court Justices are dishonest. They each stated that they never thought about Roe vs Wade. Really? They never thought about it laying in bed at night if its right or wrong? Really? Sounds to me like perjury! And before all the comments about "WOW must be black" - kill it now! I'm caucasian! I just beleive that if we worried about our own issues instead of everyone elses - this world would be a much better place...

Maybe there is justice in America after all. How ironic that he gets this veridic on the very same day he was acquitted years ago and walked. Makes me giggle. Cue Jessie Jackson and the ACLU...it's their time to enter the stage. Of course I am still trying to figure out how Jessie can enjoy pastor benefits when he is so political and does not have a pulpit.

Posted by: Sue Location: South Bend on Oct 4, 2008 at 10:17 AM
B-Bye, OJ!!

I can allready hear the racial remarks. And Mike no dought we will hear from Jesse, sooner or later.

Posted by: Tim Location: Goshen on Oct 4, 2008 at 08:14 AM
Justice is almost complete...one can only hope now that OJ gets the same thing in prison...and thats a knife to the throat.

Posted by: Michelle on Oct 4, 2008 at 07:42 AM
Well its about time. He is such a snake. He really thought he would get by with this crime, just like he got by with his other crime.

Posted by: aj Location: sb on Oct 4, 2008 at 07:19 AM
His football memorabilia isn't worth anything anymore anyhow. What a waste, great athlete turned wife beater, turned wife murderer, turned annoying public guilty conscience, turned robberer, turned inmate. GO OJ Yay !
