SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Three bidders are interested in developing a 10 acre parcel of land now owned by TRANSPO, South Bend’s public bus company.
The lot at 901 Northside Boulevard lies across the street from the St. Joseph River and used to house the TRANSPO corporate headquarters.
According to the master plan developed for the neighborhood, the lot would be ideal for single family homes.
“We are happy with the response,” said TRANSPO Executive Director David Cangany.
The three bids will be reviewed in the months to come before a final recommendation is made to the TRANSPO board of directors.
