A man is severely beaten early Friday morning at a Mishawaka gas station.
The strange thing is the victim is left by his friends and he isn't giving police much information.
The whole thing is caught on surveillance tape by cameras at the gas station on Grape and McKinley.
A gas station attendant called police after a man covered in blood collapsed in the parking lot.
It all starts when a red car pulls up on the far side of the gas pumps.
A man in shorts gets out and walks across the lot.
A black car pulls up to a pump on the other side of the lot.
On the tape a man can be seen, from the red car, pull out a crow bar and start hitting him.
Both cars then take off and leave the victim.
“I kept asking him 'What happened? What happened?' and he said somebody beat him and throw him in front of my car," says Marathon employee Palwinder Singh.
Police have yet to release any names. The victim is from Africa and his family members have not been notified of the situation.
Police don't know why the victim was abandoned. He is now recovering at the hospital from severe head injuries.
Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 574-258-1678.
