It was a double celebration for Habitat for Humanity Sunday -- another home and another donation.
Volunteers blessed the new home in the 100-block of South Walnut Street in South Bend.
More than 250 volunteers worked for eight weeks to build the home for Sharnae Jones and her family.
"It feels real good that I've helped to build the home, and I'll appreciate it a lot more," said Jones. "I started last July. I needed to complete 300 sweat equity hours, and actually as of yesterday morning, I was completed, done with the 300 hours."
Volunteers from Comcast were also in on the action.
Back in May, they helped clear debris from the lot where the house would go up. On Sunday, the company presented a check for more than $6,000 to Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County.
